The GIGI Ester C Brightening Mask is a professional-level corrective mask designed to treat uneven skin tone, pigmentation (such as sun-spots, melasma, post-acne marks) and dull complexions. Formulated with a potent mix of brightening agents (ascorbic acid / vitamin C derivatives), gentle exfoliants (lactic acid and other actives) and ingredients such as retinol (or retinyl palmitate) for renewal. 

This mask effectively refines skin texture, boosts luminosity and supports visible tone correction — making it ideal for in-salon boosted treatments or as a premium home-care take-home for clients wanting results.

Key Ingredients

Ascorbic Acid / Vitamin C Derivatives – powerful brightening and antioxidant support. 

Retinyl Palmitate (vitamin A derivative) – renewal and smoothing action. 

Lactic Acid (and other exfoliating acids) – gentle exfoliation, refining of tone and texture. 

Herbal/Plant Extracts (e.g., Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi Leaf Extract, Bearberry, etc.) – brightening and skin tone support. 

Professional Use (Salons):

1.      Cleanse the skin thoroughly.

2.      Apply a thin, even layer of the Brightening Mask to cleansed face (and neck & décolleté if required).

3.      Leave on for 10-15 minutes (some sources suggest 10 minutes) until mask begins to set. 

4.      As mask begins to dry, moisten fingertips with water and gently massage for 2–3 minutes to boost absorption. 

5.      Rinse thoroughly: first with warm water, then with cool water to close pores and refresh skin.

6.      Follow with appropriate finishing cream or treatment serum (e.g., paired product from Ester C line) and advise daily sun protection.

Home Use (Client Take-Home):
Use 1-2 times per week as a “boost mask” for brightening. Cleanse, apply mask, leave for 10 minutes, rinse, then apply finishing cream. During the day always follow with SPF 30+.

Professional Notes 

Intended for professional / salon use or home-care by informed clients.

Because the formula includes active brightening and exfoliating ingredients (e.g., acids, vitamin C derivative, maybe retinol derivative), patch test is recommended for very sensitive or reactive skin.

Not suitable for broken, irritated or freshly exfoliated skin without professional judgement.

While the mask helps with pigmentation and tone, it is not a replacement for medical treatment of severe melasma — manage client expectations accordingly.

Always advise daily sun protection when using brightening/exfoliating treatments for safe and lasting results.
